DSE Training
If workers use Display Screen Equipment (DSE) daily, as part of their normal work, continuously for an hour or more, employers must do a workstation assessment. Employers should look at: the whole workstation, including equipment, furniture, and work conditions.
Course Objectives
- Examination of DSE hazards and risks
- Examination of DSE equipment
- Examination of the DSE assessment process along with the principles of DSE workstation risk assessments.
Course Content
- Display Screen Equipment
- Keyboard
- Work desk or work surface
- Work chair
- Environment (space requirements, lighting, radiation, noise, heat and humidity)
- Employee computer interface (software should be suitable for the task and easy to use)
