DSE Training

If workers use Display Screen Equipment (DSE) daily, as part of their normal work, continuously for an hour or more, employers must do a workstation assessment. Employers should look at: the whole workstation, including equipment, furniture, and work conditions.

Course Objectives

  • Examination of DSE hazards and risks
  • Examination of DSE equipment
  • Examination of the DSE assessment process along with the principles of DSE workstation risk assessments.

Course Content

  • Display Screen Equipment
  • Keyboard
  • Work desk or work surface
  • Work chair
  • Environment (space requirements, lighting, radiation, noise, heat and humidity)
  • Employee computer interface (software should be suitable for the task and easy to use)
